Gown

Description

A child's cotton gown with lace insertion on the bodice. The long skirt is embellished with a series of 27 horizontal corded pin tucks at the hem and a series of 6 vertical corded pin tucks at the sides. The belt at the high waist is also embellished with horizontal (flat) pin tucks and it terminates on each side with lace trim along a curved edge. The short sleeves are puffed.The gown adjusts at the back with two cloth tape drawstrings: one at the neck and the other at the waist. The bodice features a series of vertical lace insertions, alternating with sets of vertical pin tucks. The hem is edged in lace. The lace at the hem is executed in a design that does not match the lace on the bodice.
