Description
A cotton cape with tambour whitework and an applied border of broderie Anglaise. Broderie Anglaise work is very often executed directly onto the primary fabric of a garment, but in this case, it has been applied as a ruffle along the edge and collar of two panels of cotton dimity. A scrolling border of tambour embroidery has been added to the edges of the dimity.
