Apron

Description

Apron made from loose plain-weave cotton fabric and embellished with tambour work (white work) and open work. A rectangular panel of loosely woven cotton fabric with cotton tape straps at the top edges. The edges of the panel are scalloped and trimmed in tambour work. A large floral design is repeated three times along the bottom of the apron. This design combines tambour work with drawn thread openwork to create more refined details. Small floral sprigs (tambour work) are placed throughout and also used as a detail inside each scalloped segmen
