Waistcoat (Fragment)

Description

A linen waistcoat front. A doubled length of linen, embroidered in floral designs (and a meandering wavy line) with silk and metallic thread. A rectangular linen panel, with a rounded "underarm" cut on one side. This front has not been used on a waistcoat, and it is unlined. There is an inked pattern of the meandering embroidered line, suggesting that this front is unfinished.
