Measurement Notes
SRAL analysis in 1983 indicates the silver alloy Ag 91.3% Cu 8.3% Au .06% Pb 0.3%. The lab report indicated the mark on this spoon is spurious and can be compared to other marks used to forge silver for the Morris family. The report also remarked that this spoon is heavily cleaned but appears to have a reasonable alloy for 18th century silver but the spoon is suspected spurious.
