Measurement Notes
SRAL analysis in 1983 indicates the silver alloy Ag 81.9% Cu 16.5% Au 0.1% Pb .65%. The lab report indicated the mark on this spoon is spurious and can be compared to other marks used to forge silver for the Morris family. The report also suggested this source was a European/Continental (Germanic/Dutch/Austrian) spoon where the alloy standard is about 80% silver.
