This handkerchief was printed at the Anderston printworks near Glasgow operated by Richard Gillespie. Evidence is a description in the Berks and Schuykill Journal (published in Reading PA) dated May 19 1821 Vol 5 Iss 1 that claims it was sent by Colin Gillespie, Richard's brother who ran the trading side of the GIllespie business.
