Edition Notes

State three included the addition of spots to the cat, shadows to the weeping woman's apron. This impression evidences a badly worn under engraving with the middle and foregrounds heavily reworked. Lettering is broken with "W.\m Hogarth &/ Publish'd" re-enforced.
