1790-1860
Rawdon established an engraving business in 1816 which became Rawdon, Balch and Co. in 1818; Rawdon, Clark and Co. in 1823; Rawdon, Wright and Hatch in 1832; and Rawdon, Wright, Hatch and Edson in 1847, which ultimately merged into the New England Bank Note Co.
