Daniel Christian Fueter's son, Lewis (Ludwig Anton) Fueter (1746-1784) also trained as a goldsmith and remained working in New York until 1783 when he followed British forces to Halifax, Nova Scotia and then to Jamaica in 1784. John Anthony Beau, a Swiss (Geneva) goldsmith specializing in chasing, is advertised as working with the Fueters in New York in The New-York Gazette and the Weekly Mercury, July 31, 1769.
