Measurement Notes

Measurements are approximate due to the inherent variability of textiles. (Conservation, 2011) Florence Montgomery determined warps per inch at 56. Vertical design repeat: 35 inches appears to be a true representation of the vertical design repeat, but there is a possible chance that the measurement may not be accurate as the panel has been stitched together Horizontal design repeat: No - scenes cut Selvedge width: 27.50 inches; the small panel at the top appears to have a selvedge to selvedge width and is the part which was measured, all other areas have been cut at least on one side or have repair areas in the central part of the design.
