Winterthur's fraktur 67.920 is the only documented example of Hetzel's work.
Hetzel's father, Heinrich, was a schoolmaster at Muddy Creek Church in Cocalico Township, Lancaster County, soon after Henrich Otto taught there, and the similarities between Johannes' fraktur and Otto's suggest he was a student of Otto or, at least, familiar with his work.
