Aetna Furnace (Maker)
The Etna Furnace was built by Charles Read (1715-1774) in 1766. In 1770, his son Charles Read, Jr. took over the furnace and changed the name to Aetna Furnace. Charles Read, Jr. ran the business until 1774.
