Edition Notes

Only one state recorded. It is probable that this impression is an after state of a plate by John Simon (note Smith in publisher's line.) 1675-1755, inasmuch as a number of Simon's plate have been found with "J.Smith" execudit. However this refers to Joseph Smith, the publisher and printseller. Plate probably dates from 1700-1725; however impression struck on wove paper probably dates after 1775 and possibly as late as 1875.
