William A. Pratt (1818-1879), Superintendent of Buildings at the University of Virginia from 1858 to 1865. Pratt had been involved in the site plan of Richmond's Hollywood Cemetery and in 1856 was instrumental in acquiring Paul Balze's copy of the painting of Raphael's School of Athens for the Rotunda Annex.
