Boyd married Sarah Loudon on June 6, 1793. Robert Palethorp Jr bought out the contents of Boyd's shop after the latter's death (Laughlin, vol.2, p.62). Charles F. Montgomery, in "A History of American Pewter", lists Boyd's active dates as 1795-1819.
