William and Mary-style side chair made of soft maple and red oak with brown leather upholstery. The chair back is angled back. The arched crest rail is pierced and carved with scrolls and plumes in the Prince-of-Wales style. The crest rail and a rectangular lower rail are mounted between two rear, baluster-turned stiles. Compressed-ball-and-spool finials surmount the stiles. A leather-upholstered back panel outlined with upholstery tracks is mounted between the rails. The trapezoidal seat is upholstered over the rail with leather. Upholstery tacks outline the front and side lower edges of the seat rails. The front baluster legs terminate in ball feet. The rear legs are stump. The rear stretcher and the side stretchers are rectangular and the front stretcher is double-ball-and-reel-turned.
