1. Inscription; Side walls; Around upper center body is incised in the clay are the words "Smith & Jones Slago Pottery", "Zanesville Ohio", and "Smith & Jones." At the lower back almost below the eagle plaque and above the wavy line is the name "Goetz" written in small-size letters.
