Isaiah Thomas was a minuteman and patriot printer who, over his lifetime, published over 400 titles, including The Massachusetts Spy. He was also the author of The History of Printing in America with a Biography of Printers, and an Account of Newspapers, 2 vols. (Worcester, Massachusetts: Isaiah Thomas, 1810), and established the American Antiquarian Society in 1812.
