William and Mary-style side chair with leather-upholstered seat and back. Surmounting the contoured chair back is a flat-top, serpentine-ended crest rail. The fronts of the crest rail and the rear stiles are rounded and outlined with bead molding. There is a lower, rectangular stay rail. A contoured, leather-upholstered panel is mounted between the crest rail and stay rail. The front surface is outlined in upholstery tacks. The trapezoidal seat is upholstered over the frame. A single row of upholstery tacks outlines the lower edge of the seat frame. The baluster-turned front legs terminate in Spanish feet. Between the front legs is a double-ball-and-reel-turned stretcher. There are rectangular side and rear stretchers.
