Charles Heath, the son of James Heath (who had been appointed engraver to the King in 1794), is best known for the small plates which he engraved for various annuals and other publications. Among his principal works are the "Views of Richmond (England)". Heath was one of the first members of the Society of British Artists, and provided illustrations for such periodicals as The Keepsake and The Amulet.
