Margaret Bleeker Ten Eyck was the daughter of the Margaret Bleeker who married Harmanus Ten Eyck (1750-1828) in 1776. Her wedding shoes (1958.2944) used to live on the washstand in the Gold and White Bedroom. During the years close to 2010, these resided in textile storage. Harmanus Ten Eyck was the great great grandfather of Henry Francis duPont. His portrait (1959.1393 A, B) hangs in the Liverpool Hall, outside of the Gold and White Room. The church appears in numerous American paper and fabric scenes.
