The third state of this print was issued by Charles Currier with changes in the publication line at right to read: "LITH & PRINTED IN COLOURS BY C. CURRIER, 33 SPRUCE ST. N.Y."; the name "N. Campbell" was changed to "THOMAS N.", and "Drawn expressly for D. T. Valentine's Manual" was added after the words "taken down" at the end of the text.
