First and second states of Seller's map of New Jersey were included in John Sellers, Atlas Maritimus (London: 1682). The first state includes the soundings in New York harbor and shows only the Stuart arms. In the second state, the soundings were removed, Carteret's arms were added just slightly right of center and above Seller's dedication, and a second image of the Stuart arms was engraved in the lower right, near where Clerk's name had appeared in the first state.
