Measurement Notes

Selvedge width of silk on both front and back is approx 30 inches. It might well have originally been wider, but is difficult to measure because it has been pulled up by the quilting. Linda Baumgarten suggests that a related quilt at Colonial Williamsburg has a selvedge width of 32 inches.
