As per Darling, New York State Silversmiths, pp. 174-175: Jacob Ten Eyck was the son of Koenraet Ten Eyck and Geertje Van Schaick. One of his brothers was Jacob Ten Eyck, who he may have been apprenticed to. He married Elsie Gansevoort in 1752, (L. Clouser, cataloguer, 03/03/2011)
