Founded by Isaac Zane, Jr. in Stephens City, Frederick County, Virginia. The iron plantation employed more than 100 laborers and produced cast stove plates, cooking pots, dutch ovens, skillets, mortars and pestles, salt pans, tea kettles, and flat irons.
