Silver composition was analyzed on July 5, 2012 at Winterthur, yielding evidence of silver (91.4% to 94.9%), copper (4.8% to 8.2%), lead (0.1% to 0.5%), and gold (0.1% to 0.2%). The object was weighed with the same scale on two different times with different results (min. 8.3 in 2012 and max. 8.5 in 2014) so the overall weight is averaged. It is possible the lacquer coating added 0.2 ounces. Weight is about 7.65 ounces troy. [AWagner]
