As per Flynt & Fales, The Heritage Silver Collection, p. 282: Son of William Moulton III (1772-1861). Married Elizabeth S. Coleman on July 12, 1838. Had two sons Edward M. Moulton 91846-1907) who he trained in silversmithing to work with him, but he did not conitinue, and William Moulton IV (1851-1940) who succeeded his father's retail business but did not make silver himself.
